A Very Special Christmas

christmastreeI thought I might take a  break from the norm today–this week  actually–and focus on Christmas. I love Christmas–everything about it. Well, except for the grumpy shoppers.

If all goes according to plan, I’ll get to spend Christmas with my mother this year. The first time in over twenty years! And my big sister, too!  I’m very excited and feeling blessed. Christmas is special every year, but this year it’ll be more special than most.

Is there something extra special happening at your house this year?

  1. Yes, something very special will be happening to me this year. I have been very ill for about a year now–running to doctors and to pharmacies. A church adopted me and prayed for me. I will be going to a holiday party (church sponsored) with gift cards and food as a way of thanking them for their kindness. I do not speak Spanish–the church pastor conducts a large portion of the service in Spanish. But I know the language of the heart. I wish you and your family Amy a joyous visit with your loved ones. 2. Merry Christmas, Amy!

My kids are all coming in on Thursday from different places – UC Berkeley Law School, Chicago, and Indianapolis. They will all be here for a lengthy stay. So excited to have them all home! Coming with them, a son-in-law, boyfriend, two kitties, and a gecko! I love a house full at Christmas!
